Stages

Hey guys!

Just wanna shout out, I need a new phone!!!
I'm determined to get one by the end of this week.
My current phone's capacity is really lacking.

AND ALSO,
Mr over confident itchy hands tried to meddle with some HTML and got into some serious trouble.

Hence the design of the blog is abit twarted.
As you can see there's a koi pond on the side now. (which isn't supposed to be there)
You can actually click and the fish will be fed.

But if you see no difference in the design (like you're wondering, WHAT KOI POND??)
then...
GOOD FOR YOU.

The mistakes show sometimes and sometimes not.
It pretty much shows how much I screwed up the HTML,

ANYWAY,

Before I leave, just want to mention something...

You've to understand that we live life in levels

likewise in every relationship, there are levels.
There will be times when your friendship will meet obstacles and disagreements.

Often, people see their friendship as a series of isolated incidents, and one bad incident means the end of the friendship.

But people who see relationships in this way, will have difficulties forming long lasting friendships. They end up having on-off relationships. They run every time a difficult situation arises.

In order to go deeper, friction is inevitable.
Where you'll have to work out your differences, and learn how to "give and take".

Next time you get into a rough patch in your friendship, don't let go just because of a difficult situation.
Good relationships are worth fighting for!

敌人

有时候我们最大的敌人...竟然是心中的自己
Sometimes, our greatest enemy...actually lives within

Being very challenged in the recent season...
its like there's a fight in every arena of life
But the real war is really with myself.

You fight so hard, getting rid of obstacles.
And at the last battle, the irony,
is that you see yourself staring back at you.

I know some of you have been reading my past.

Change only came, when I let go off myself.
Thats why you don't really see the past now.

Letting go hurt.
Letting go wasn't easy.

BUT

Letting go is worth it.

Because only in the
letting go of the old
Can you
receive the new

I know this will make you chuckle

I realised that recently combing up the fringe is quite popular.
You see many famous people doing it...
Justin Chatwin, Jay Chou, The Script's lead singer and Robert Pattinson.

So I tried combing up my fringe too :D

Haha, just having a little bit of fun.

Anyway, today is special, because I received a new vision.
Keeping this close to my heart.
As the 20th Annivesary approaches, I'm seeking for new visions.

I'm really standing at the tip of a new threshold.
It feels like a great big risk,
but I'm ready to take the plunge.

Come what may,
just trust and obey!

Tweaking an important proposal now.
So many important things to settle asap,
when can I wind up winding down?
Hehs.
But I'm enjoying it.
Next week has so much to look forward to!

I admit I'm feeling abit down now, trying to crunch some numbers and figures at 2.30am..
Somehow everything important is linked to NUMBERS.
We can't escape numbers.
I admire numbers savvy people.

Anyway, a joyful picture cheered me up...
Hope they cheer you up too!

This picture cheers me up!

Extreme

I've had an amazing month where I've had my mind stretched, beliefs challenged, heart broken and will tested.
Even my dreams were halted.
After all that, I can only say that I still have a long way to go...
I still want to be more wiser, bolder, smarter, sharper, stronger, dependable, faithful, loyal, confident, obedient, fillial, influential and the list goes on...
There's always MORE that we want to be.
But in the midst of attaining MORE, I cannot neglect NOW.
Imagine this:
There you are, building your life, and suddenly someone calls out for you.
You nervously respond to the call," I'm not ready yet, I need to be more wiser, bolder, smarter, sharper, stronger, dependable, faithful, loyal, confident, obedient, fillial, influential and..."
Woah, wait up!

There is nothing wrong with desiring to be progressive.
But the truth is, you will never reach the day where you can say, "I have arrived!" (at least not in this lifetime)
We are always "arriving".
Don't wait untill the day that you think you are the BEST, to answer the call.
When a call rings, you answer today.
No Call rings forever.
Are you afraid to shine? Don't wait untill you are perfect to shine.

If you're not willing to shine as a candle, what makes you think you'd be ready to shine as a lighthouse?

Fear suggests you stay ordinary.

That you don't rise above the norm.

Fear asks you to be indifferent like the crowd.

Fear says don't light the candle, it will make you stand out like a sore thumb.
Fear says don't be extreme.

One of my favorite quotes, which I have pasted on my room's wall, by Martin Luther King

"The Question is not whether we will be extremists, but what KIND will we be? Where are the extremists for LOVE & GRACE?"

Don't stay ordinary when you can be extraordinary.

I love it that I'm given the privilege to be surrounded by "extreme" people.
They aren't satisfied with being "just enough"

They are people who break the norm.

People who swim against the current.
People with CONVICTION.

Take the stage with what you have,
storm the grounds even when you're wounded.

I love what Dr. Bernard shared over the weekend that We are like "wounded healers"

Even in the midst of hurt, you can administer healing.

The wounded healer definitely needs to seek for MORE for himself. But in the midst of that seeking, he is not afraid to step out and give MORE to others.

Valerictorian posed this challenging thought on her site:

What do you need most now?
What do you need more now?

Give that very thing
to somebody.

She then went on to state that:

When I give to others
what I need most,

I receive
more
than I could achieve alone.

Often what the extremists claim, is illogical to the natural mind.
Thats why extremists for love and grace are never moving just in the natural realm ;)

Discard fear and Shine with what you have now Below is a favourite quote of one of my old friends, I never quite got it. But it takes careful reading, and trust me, its worth reading into:

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,
but that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant
,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear
,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Shoot

Hey guys, have lots of photos to upload.
Just so you know I'm getting increasingly disappointed in my camera.
Don't feel like taking pictures anymore when I see the quality of the images.
its...Old...
Oh no! Now I have another WANT!

Below are the photos from the photoshoot at school. We actually needed less than 10 shots for the actual product, but these 10 shots took us 2 days with lots of time in between. So gear up for a barrage of pictures! we basically camwhored alot in between.

The crew

This is our photographer Mark, a very nice guy and hard working.
Justin Cretton, he's a nurse, can you believe it? He must be the IT boy among all the other female nurses...Haha. He's half french btw.
Justine Lee. Need I say more? He's the IT boy wherever he goes ( hope he doesn't see this, haha)
Alcinda, the one with the balloons. Ignore the one at the corner...
Because she has her own picture! Haha.
This is Alex. She's half british.
Angelia, fellow coursemate of same year whom I've never met before. Just realised that she is actually the winner of the first season of Hey Gorgeous!
Opps. I even asked her " How come I never see you before even though we are in the same course?"
小的该打...
Hafiz, he's the school rugby player. He's special because all the other models names start with "J" or "A"
All the guys are Justine, Justin John.
The girls are Alcinda Angelia Alex.
But Hafiz is... Hafiz.
Cos he's special! Haha.
He's Mr Nice guy too.

Basically everyone was very nice
It was such a pleasant time, all the stylists and attendants were all so polite to us.
Who said modelling is a snobish affair?

Si

If we can have everything and yet feel empty.
Then is it possible, to believe that we are not in lack, when there is nothing in our hands?
